The Vagus Nerve and Vagal Nerve Toning
The Vagus Nerve and Vagal Nerve Toning
Our autonomic nervous system (ANS), a part of our central nervous system controls automatic responses in your body and regulates involuntary physiologic processes including heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, digestion, and sexual arousal. It can be divided into your sympathetic (SNS) which triggers your fight-flight-freeze response, and your parasympathetic (PNS) which is responsible for your body rest and digest response when the body is relaxing, resting and feeding.
The vagus nerve is the body’s super highway, carrying information between the brain and the internal organs and controlling the body's response in times of rest and relaxation. The vagus nerve makes the link between our central nervous system (CNS) and our body by innervating major visceral organs such as the heart, the lungs, and the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The vagal nerves are the main nerves of the parasympathetic nervous system which acts as the stop button like a set of brakes. When the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, it slows our heart and breathing rates, lowers blood pressure and promotes digestion. Our body enters a state of relaxation, and this relaxation breeds recovery. The more time we spend in a PSN state, the healthier we are. Having a healthy and strong vagus nerve helps us counterbalance the fight or flight system that causes daily stress in our always-on-lives.
Vagal nerve toning (VNT) is the use of sound-waves to generate frequency vibration and create a passive biofeedback response within the autonomic nervous system (ANS), with particular attention to the vagus nerve. Soundwave toning is very safe, with statistically insignificant potential for adverse reaction. Vagal tone matters a lot to your body. A high vagal tone is good for both your mind and body.

Healing sound
Healing sound
External stimuli like sound can activate your parasympathetic response and promote healing and a feeling of calm. To encourage this response we create calming and soothing soundscapes using natural sounds and vocals mixed with binaural beats, solfeggio frequencies and Schumann resonance.

Binaural Beats
The acoustic phenomena that occur when two sound waves of slightly varying magnitudes collide and create a 3rd wave is called a binaural beat. These rhythmic pulses are augmented to varying degrees for the purposes of shifting brainwave patterns out of distress and into harmony.

Solfeggio Frequencies
Solfeggio Frequencies
Solfeggio sound frequencies are an effective form of sound therapy that can help improve various aspects of wellbeing. From meditation and relaxation to achieving deep sleep, these frequencies come with several benefits. The Solfeggio frequencies we use will range from 174Hz to 963Hz and will target various chakra points influencing a shift in wellbeing.

Schumann Resonance
Schumann Resonance
Mother Earth’s natural heartbeat rhythm is the frequency of 7.83 Hz, also known as the “Schumann Resonance". A 7.83 Hz frequency is an alpha/theta brainwave frequency in the human brain. Alpha/Theta brainwave frequency is a relaxed, dreamy, sleepy state, that is also when cell regeneration and healing happens.
